Brug and Datura seeds

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Frannie, yes, the pinwheel Datura was mine. It was the only one that bloomed so perfectly.

Snow :) Thanks for posting the difference between Dats and Brugseeds :) A know it will be helpful to all new members. Yeah, and like Glory and Poppy say, send one to the seed companies and pray, they know how to read it *lol*

I noted that both B and T world seeds and seeds of Distinction and lots of others sell Datura seeds under Brugs names such as:

Brugmansia arborea 'Black Form' 432750 1,000s52
Brugmansia arborea 'Double Black Form' 432751 1,000s154
Brugmansia candida x 'Double Blackcurrant Swirl' 403157 1p10 100s49 500s105 1,000s178
Brugmansia candida x 'Double Golden Queen' 403156 1p10 100s49 500s105 1,000s178
Brugmansia candida x 'Double White' 69006 1p10 10s10 20s21 100s49 250s97 500s130 1,000s230

These are:

D. metel var. fastousa f. fastuosa "'Double Blackcurrant Swirl" (purple double)

D. metel var. fastousa f. fastuosa "Black" (dark purple double)

D. metel var. muricata f. muricata "Double Golden Queen" (yellow double)

D. metel var. muricata f. muricata (white double)

(thought I would mention it, because I studied misnaming for years)

mingsmimi, don`t think your cats will eat them. Lene and I got two cats and recently we had three kittens growing up too without problems. They were a little curious of the Brugs, but never lead to any harm :) We have a dog too, that like to play with the (closed, immature) seedcapsules of D. stramonium too (thorny stuff). He is a mousehunter and play with these pretending that they are specially armed and very dangerous mice :) He had done so since 1998 and he never once ate of them *lol* Good doggie!

WOW ! Thanks so much.
I'm a new to Daturas and Brugs and this info is going into my eBook.
I'm learning and it is so much clear here than in a gardening book that I have.
