mings, Yours may be fine. It might be me that didn't plant deep enough. Maybe that's why my sangs are falling over and might have to be staked.

I'm a new mom!!!! I had my first brug poke her head out of the earth!!! thanks to glory. I think thats what I;ll name this plant. Glory! YEAH!!!!! I'll post her picture when I can at the Brugs place.

Congrats, Mingsmimi with your new Glory *lol* :)

That is the feeling I also get, when one of mine seeds tells: "Hello world"!!!

(the "YYYYYess-feeling!!! I meant, not naming them Gloria *lol* even I think it is a nice name *lol*)

I am looking forward to see the picture.

O,K.,

Here I go again. I just rejoined this list after a 2 year absence and I 'm hearing the same thing again. BRUGS from seeds. Why would you? Spend the extra $ and just buy the plant and propogate from cuttings. Only the Datura will not propogate from cuttings. Any brug will propogate from cutttings......Steve

Oh no no.. there is a HUGE thrill with seedlings.. Just wait till your FIRST seedling blooms and you smell the fragrance for the first time.. Pure heaven... Not only that, but you get nice tall standards most of the time.. I love growing brugs from seed. It is nice to have SOME that you know what they are going to look like... but there is no thrill like a double seedling.. (next to giving birth to your own baby that is)... You can ask anyone who knows me.. they got a frantic call when "Puff" bloomed.. LOL

I soak and then peel cause I have been known to tear the entire seed in half trying to peel when dry.. It takes forever to be really careful.. but I enjoy peeling seeds.. I also don't cover them completely with soil every time... I don't know for sure, but when they are under lights, it seems the ones that are exposed to light germinate faster. Just what I've observed in 2 seasons.. I am no expert... but I have a LOT of seedlings! It's my favorite thing to do.. start babiez.. LOL I have done "surgery" on several different situations.. the ones that have their heads under the roots, and raised up and out of the rockwool.. (pic below) I had one with the leaves coming out first then the roots rotted, my most valued brug baby this year.. and one that didn't have anything but a tiny stub... and it got leaves! So it's amazing what they can recover from..

My favorite subject.. I absolutely love hearing a "new Brug mommy" Congrats Mingsmimi.. I know that joyous feeling well.. take pics!! You will love to look at them in about a year!
