A South Indian Meal looks like this. Vegetarian.

The banana leaf adds much flavour. The curry, sambar are mixed with rice and eaten with the fingers, squatting on the floor. The meal usually ends with rice and Curd taken with some pickle of lime, mango.....
A banana leaf is mostly used during festival days and such occasions.

Dinu it looks delicious!!! I love Indian food and am thankful that we have a really good restaurant nearby. I learnt to cook Indian food when I was lived in Singapore. I love the breads too - that Naan just about goes with everything!! Having said that, I also love Italian, Greek, Chinese and Thai!!

Looks interesting. I'd try it. Did they just pour the food on the tablecloth? That's what it looks like.

Found a picture in an e-mail. View as if that is in front of you, ready to be eaten.....with fingers, of course.
