I believe these flowers are small like the Iochroma....am I correct?
I thought I read that the flowers were 3",not sure,not brug size but a resonable replacement.I think there's others out tthere too.I found a whole list of what in the Solanaceae family and some of the stuff surprized me ,and some of it I have no clue what it is.......
I have some seeds from a lady in CA - she said they are definately in the nightshade family but didn't know what they were called - and the flowers looked like little yellow lanterns. I wonder if this is what they could be. Any other guesses CC? I checked the envelope and there's more than I need. I have enough to share with 5 or 6 people. Anyone want to try a few?

Ok... I think I've spread these as thinly as I possibly can. Those of us who try them will have to share cuttings if we're successful and they turn out to be something nice. The seeds look like pepper seeds but their darker brown. I don't know if they'll be easy to germinate or if they'll require some patience. Hopefully one of us we'll get them to grow.
if just one of us can, there should be enough seeds to go all the way around next time.

Just bringing this one back up in hopes that someone will comment on chances of using it as a pollinator. The orange one is pretty too. Wish I could grow them up here. I guess if I could maintain it at a pot size, it might make it.

okay, i got it, go ahead and edit and get that thing off of there, lol
i think i finally got it to a strength that he will drink. i steeped 1 1/2 tbsps with 3 decaf tea bags and loaded it with sugar..he isnt a sweet tea drinker (hes a yankee) but i think it masks the pungent taste of the bark. i also read that it can be used as an extractor. he had a boil on his hip that wouldnt surface and was giving him major pain, i put some of the wet bark and covered him with a bandaide, the next morning it broke surface and oozed..hes not too happy about me using him as a guinia pig, tho.

cala, i was given a sample of a tea called pau d'arco. ive got bill drinking it now in hopes that it will increase his circulation and in turn either irradicate or slow down his scleroderma. people swear by it.

I need to check into that and see if it will help my Bill's leg cramps that are due to poor circulation and nerve damage.
CC this plant is listed at floridafriendlyplants.com, they sell gallon annuals at homedepot here, will look for them.
There is one located on ebay. No bids on it yet for a gallon size in bloom.

How about we go check out all the Home Depots and Lowes when we go to Florida. I love to do that when we go to Texas or Mississippi. They seem to get more tropical stuff than we do up here, though my friend found a nice clitoria vine at our local HD and I found a thunbergia erecta at one.
oh,oh,oh! Just checked out the link WaterlooLily provided for Ebay. The site she mentioned had a clitoria vine that I loved!!!! We have HD here in NC, but nothing available till April/May. Will "watch" this site for info on your search.
i am not sure if floridafriendlyplants sells to home depot except florida. went in the other day, they did have a lot of tampa verbain, very cool, blooms all winter long, even into the teens. an endangered plant, everyone should grow them!!

here's another, it is a light purple, the leaves are pretty, and they do reseed. those and the first love dianthus, start white go pink then mauve bloom all winter here, frost tolerant. and the roses until it gets way cold.
