Help me to say Hi to this lovely group of gardening ladies! I am giving a talk today about "Cyber Gardening" and DG will be the topic! I will show them DG..so come on yall..help me say hello! (this should be on the Welcome forum..but hey, thought more of yall would see it here!)

Dave's Garden is the greatest! Hello garden ladies! We have seeds, plants, tips and techniques, plant growing information and photos, personal journals, and all sorts of other wonderful features here. And a very friendly and busy webmaster who's always adding new features to make it even more fun.

Hello ladies we here at DG have a lot of information. If one doesn't know it someone else does. If it is about gardens, plants and many other things come here and find out about it.

Hello Ladies, this is the best gardening site on the Net.
I have made some wonderful friends here, traded for some of the best plants and seeds.

Nearly forgot to ask ya Lisa,since many of us don't know French/cajun,what does Le Champs Du Canes translate into American? Well anyone that speaks can answer if Lisa isn't here,lol'

Welcome ladies. You are really lucky having Lisa give a speech for you. She is a really smart gal and will fill your minds with all sorts of great knowledge. We would love to have all of you as members here in the Garden. It is a second home to many of us.

Welcome Ladies!! I know you are going to enjoy Lisa's speech so much. She's a mine of information, beautiful, cheerful and witty and you will love her as we all do. As for DG, I would be completely lost without it. This garden is part of my life now, like making dinner each day - you just have to do it!! Only trouble is we all spend far too much time here and the housework and other things take second place. DG is very well informed!! If you want it, DG has it!! If you love gardening and that's the main reason we are here, then you need look no further!! But that's just one part this marvellous site. You will make many friends who will support you through all your trials and tribulations and supply you with all those wonderful seeds and treasured cuttings!!

Well, just in case there are a few stragglers still there, WELCOME! You're gonna love the folks and friendship here at the Famous DavesGarden site. Lots of good topics and real conversation going on here! And on those frustrated days, when the cats dig holes to China in your gardenbeds, or the neighbor's dogs contribute their duty to the organic world in the wrong place, or maybe when slugs rally and march one-by-one thru your most favored plants...you'll benefit from a bit of humor that tends to show up here every once in a while...(it tends to help you continue to realize that no matter what, all is well).

Hello Ladies I'm sure you'll just love Dave's Garden! The people all are nice and they have alot of wisdom and info.

Drat, I missed my one big chance to go to one of those snooty meetings where you have to keep your pinky in the air while you sip your tea. Bet there were some little pastel sandwiches and sugar cubes, too. Oh, well, ya'll missed getting to meet this displaced Louisiana girl (I use that term loosely, you bet!). If you get curious, though, come on back and join, and you will have the time of your life. This is so much more than a garden site, it's a way of life.

What a riot you are Aimee! I think you're like me...wouldn't know how to act at a "formal" affair....LOL...'sides, girl...I think this here group Lisa has is just "down-home" folks like us...Jo

Now, Aimee, if you stick your pinky in the air, how do you keep the glass from falling right out of your hand? (Ice-cold sweet tea in a mason jar is the ONLY kind of tea there is, right????)

Lisa, I'm so sorry I missed the chance to welcome your group - I didn't see this until it was too late :( And when I saw the thread title, I figured it had to do with a Sugar Bowl champion prediction. Just goes to show I can't speak Cajun worth a lick. Bet you knocked their socks off, girl!

Yep! So tell us lisa!....how'd the meeting go? I wanna hear all the details.

What was served?

The meeting went great! I had fun talking to them about DG. Lovely bunch of ladies. They were all very impressed with DG and all the work that goes into it.(one lady said "gosh, he thinks of everything...I said 'yep'!) I took them strolling through poppysue's garden journal and they oooo'd and ahhhh'd. They gave me a very pretty hand bell made out of crystal just for talking to them..how nice! Now, for the goodies: Coffee (we don't drink tea here..it is a coffee thang for us) Some one made a jelly roll thing with fig filling..it was sooooo yummy! There was also a chocolate cake with coconut/praline topping. There were various cookies also. They were also tickled pink to see everyone welcome them in, thanks again everyone!

Ah, good old coconut/prah-lean topping. Boy, does that ever sound good! Sorry I missed ya'll - later sleepers here, ya know. :o)

O man! Guess I'm just a tad late.Missed the boat again.
