we dont get white Christmases very much si 2 in a row is good going. it's now starting to thicken which is good also but not so good for drivers. because we dont get the white stuff very often the country almost comes to a standstill as we cant cope. we need to look at the euro way of coping.

I am glad you are happy with the snow. We have it so much I am glad when there isn't any. It is pretty and nice to look at out a window though.

I remember moving to Atlanta (Georgia, USA) where they don't often get snow either. The first year I was there, we did get some snow.... and I followed a Roads Department dump truck that had 2 men with shovels in the back, throwing out some kind of snowmelt stuff by hand! That was hi-tech snow management for an area that owned NO snow-removal equipment!

When my hubby visited Romania this fall he noticed horse carts delivering sand, just making piles beside the road. If you need the sand for traction you have to shovel it yourself. Really high tech.
