This is a Lantana, I assume a sterile hybrid and thinking that this is a flower that is done blooming and should be cut.
I have not seen any berries develop, but this is my first Lantana.
It's like a green bowling pin with spots. Trying to upload photo.
Should I deadhead these?
I only have about a month and a half growing season left and then I am bringing it inside for the winter.
Any advice appreciated on deadheading these or winter care so I get lots of flowers next year.
I can't stand letting annuals die off and am running out of room. Help! :)
Please help me determine if I should cut or if this is a bud!
Yes, deadhead those. They are spent flowers. Where I grew up Lantana is perrenial and big enough to shrub. Here in N. Georgia they are generally treated as annuals but often winter over. I've found them difficult to keep going for long indoors. They dry out easily regardless of frequent watering so need high humidity. That's what does them in. They are also prone to spider mites & white fly.
