I would like to be able to see this fly's wing veins more clearly in order to be certain, but I believe that it is most likely a flower/hover fly in the family Syrphidae. See https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/49995-Syrphidae for some examples. The larvae of some species are predators on aphids.
Thank you, Flapdoodle. I didn't have any other shots that showed the veins in the wings, but I did find an image in your article that seems to match the eyes, thorax, and abdomen. Much appreciated!
