Hi all,
I am new
Im in the process of a deep garden makeover, incorporation of a rockery and also a small shaded damp corner, these areas to reflect the given sunlight.
Low maintenance.
Id like to plant some buggleweed in the shaded corner but its said the wild species can spread quickly, (its adjacent to an envisioned lawn).
I discovered this website (see link), that suggests more tame cultivars, specifically ‘purple brocade’.
Also, ‘choc chip’ is a dwarf equivalent but im unsure as to whether either of these two cultivars are the least aggressive cultivars?

Can anyone experienced in buggleweed chime in kindly?
I look forward to uploading photos of the finished garden, extensive landscaping means this wont be for a few months yet. This is my first time and have spent considerable time planning it.
Fwiw, planned accompaniments in the shaded zone are:
deer fern see attachment
maidenhair spleenwort
Dwarf ragged robin
Ive sourced dwarf equivalents of plants wherever possible so to make the garden appear larger overall,
Thanks folks
