Orb Weaver?
It is indeed an orb weaver- It resembles some in the genus Gasteracantha - see https://www.markeisingbirding.com/index/gasteracantha-sp-orbweaver-sp-0 for an example. I just got back from a 5-day camping trip, and have a lot of stuff to catch up on!
