About a foot below where I want to plant a Tree Fern, I have an agi-pipe drain. The spot receives run off & I was going to make a square of agi pipe about a foot square before it feeds into a single pipe. Can I still plant a tree fern on top of this? Should I just settle for the single line of agi-pipe? The soil drains well even with a clay layer at 600mm down but I'm trying to avoid water going under the house.

The tree fern roots will invade your pipes, and they can be very dense.
Thank you Vestia! That sounds wonderful! Just like what I would want. Sucking up any available water sounds really good. I'll stay with the single pipe - it will save me work.
