We literally have thousands of these moths(?) on and in and around our evergreen trees. Sorry, the pictures are not super clear. These are quite small, maybe about an inch.
Also, in the first picture there is something strange at the end of a branch on the right side of the image. Any ideas?

Possibly spruce budworm moths; the strange object is either a pupa or a pupal case.
