I have next to zero experience gardening, so apologies in advance!
I recently picked up this plant here: https://www.sunsetwesterngardencollection.com/the-collection/plant/light-show-red
Part of the reason I chose this plant, is that there are so many of the very same plant thriving all over the neighborhood where I live.
I planted it following instructions that came with the tag that was on the plant, but unfortunately right after I planted it there was an entire week of really strong wind that was a bit chilly (not freezing, but about 50F I would say).
Anyhow, first the leaves on the plant curled up, and now they straightened back up but they are turning brown, and plant is losing a lot of the leaves.
Is this plant dying, or given time it can recover? I am attaching pictures that were taken when the plant was planted, and now.
New Bottlebrush shrub seems to be dying
