This worm or worm like creature would slowly ease along the floor then begin to curl it's body and with a sudden snap launch its self about eight centimeters away. Curious behavior.

It does appear to be an earthworm (Annelida; order Opisthopora), and there is a so-called 'jumping earthworm' (https://uk.inaturalist.org/taxa/507501-Amynthas-gracilis), but I have no idea if it would occur in Colombia.
