Hello, I noticed a bizarre bloom from my hibiscus on two times periods and I do not understand what could cause it? The weird thing is that the ‘abnormality’ is not similar but a different one though twice on the same plant. ( 1 with a different color petal; the other with 2 petals different sizes) Could you help me ?
Sorry for my English… I am Swiss
Weird flowers appearing lately on my hibiscus
Could be "sporting - mutating". It happens and if it remains true, you might have a new plant to introduce to the trade. That is how a lot of variegated or odd plants come into the plant industry. Often it is a one and done type thing though.
I had this happen to my Philodendron Gloriosum 3 years ago and it was a one and done thing. When it started getting cold, that leaf white/yellow side curled up and died and no other leaf did the same thing.
It was yellow in September 2019 but turned white in mid-October.
Thank you for your insight! I learnt something today:)
Certainly that then.
