No Flower on Canna

I have a large 5ft yellow canna loads of flowe heads that was 5 years ago
when i divided the canna i have put in 5lt and 10lt pots i get lush green leaves every past five years but no flower
I have looked on the internet read books still no answer

Can someone put me out of my misery I am in England
