I'm from France, I found it in the Doubs region. It was agressive, I was surprised.

A good way to narrow down possibilities is to examine the eye pattern, which unfortunately cannot be seen in your image. It looks like a male orb weaver (Araneidae); if you encountered it while it was away from its web, it would have considered you a threat to its existence and acted accordingly - defense, not aggression.
