Below is an image of a spider I captured in my bath tub here in Wichita, Kansas. I initially thought it was an ordinary house spider, but after I closely examined this picture I noticed something resembling a dark violin shape on its back.
I looked online at pictures of recluses but I can not confirm myself if this is the case, I am by no means an expert. It is much larger and darker than I would have expected it to be (~2x the size of a quarter).
Its overall appearance is consistent with that of a recluse spider, but the image simply isn't clear enough to be absolutely certain.
