I purchased a Kniphofia ‘Orange Blaze’ and it has kikis on one flower stem. Can I start a new plant from a kiki? If so, what is the best method for this kind of propagation?
How to propagate from kikis on kniphofia flower stem
Neat- I didn't know there was any type of lily that grew keikis at all. Sadly I have no advice about starting a new plant from one- but interested to see how this turns out!
I have never heard of a keiki on a kniphofia. Do you have photos of what you are calling a keiki?
Keiki is usually used for the baby plants on some orchids. I have seen similar baby plants on agaves but I know those to be called bulbils.

Here is a video on propagating kniphofia that you might find as useful.

And could you take photos of your kniphofia? Maybe it it isn't a kniphofia,
I called them keikis because I grow orchids. And I “know” it’s a kniphofia because I have maybe 12 other varieties, but to prove see attached pictures of both the plant and the “keikis” (which are growing on all three of the mature bllom stalks, the largest about 6” tall).
