This beauty showed up in my yard in Zone 9 and I have no idea what variety it is. It's an early bloomer, only about 12" high. The only tulip I've planted with that broken coloration is Monsella. Could this be a sport of that one?
Mystery tulip
I wonder if it is 1 of the 'Rembrandt' varieties or a flame tulip. Did the bud open up to be different looking? They are gorgeous and fun because of their different looks.
