I would like to know if this spider is good for the garden or is it not good for the garden. As we found one the Hibiscus Tree.
NZ Spiny Orb Weaver (Two Horned Spider)
Orb-weaving spiders tend to be equal-opportunity predators, feeding on jut about anything that they can capture in their webs and then overpower. However, as this species feeds at night, it is less likely to to prey upon valuable pollinators than diurnal species. I would let it be.
