Need Hose sprayer Advise

Good Day all
Have just purchased a hose end sprayer which can use both granular and liquid chemicals. I have manually applied weed and feed in the past. When it states granular does this apply to all forms of fertilizers or are these a special type for sprayers only? Hope this makes sense

Seems like the granular should state if it can be used in a liquid solution? It may not dissolve easily unless it says water soluble.
