My neighbor sent me this photo of a moth with what may be a fungus attached. Is that possible? The moth has since died. Unfortunately the photo is way out of focus.
Fungus?
It does appear to be a fungal growth of some kind, but whether it was a factor in the moth's demise or simply was opportunistic on an already dead moth cannot be determined from this image.
