Lots of blooms on my stars and stripes mandevillas, but they do not open! What is wrong? I have another pink one that blooms and opens like crazy right next to it. They are both in pots of equal size.

I have identical plants in identical pots on either side of my front door. The way the sun sets hits one slightly more than the other. That plant needs a lot more water than the other windows even though the difference in sunlight seems insignificant. Maybe one is getting too little water or too much sun?
Gee, I don't think that's it. They have the same sun exposure. Interesting that you observed that very subtle change in your situation, though!
Following this thread. Mine hasn't bloomed that much for years and it needs to be in full sun to even bloom. GRRR!
