\'Princess Kylie\' Crape Myrtle Shrub

My daughter wants to buy this shrub for a co-worker. They are in zone 4 so it would have to be grown in a pot. One site said 4-5' in size, another said 2.5-3', Plant files says 2-3'. Does anyone have experience growing a crape myrtle in a large pot? Is this a bad idea?
