Our almond tree has dried. Bark is peeling off. Underneath the bark was this very tiny fellow, moving easily and equally quickly both forward and backward!! I thought this must be some nymph of some insect. Which one? Second photo.. finger for scale.
Tiny scorpion like insect... for ID
It's a pseudoscorpion, a non-venomous arachnid, distantly related to spiders and true scorpions. They are predators on other small invertebrates.
Oh Ed, how interesting... yes it is. But how big can it grow?
That likely is its full size. No pseudoscorpions get very large.
