Identify insect please!

I cannot see enough detail for a confident i.d. - Was it moving or did it seem attached to the substrate? If it could move, did it crawl/creep or jump? What is its approximate size?

Hello, thank you for your response. These things are creeping from the ground all the way to the wall or any other elevated surface and than hanging out there attached to the wall. Some times they are hanging on a web-type thing like on a picture from my finger. Size - not more than half inch.

From your description, I suspect that they could be small case-bearing caterpillars. We sometimes find similar ones known as grass bagworms attached to our house. They do not appear to cause any damage.
