I don't remember how I ended up here--like I really needed to join another gardening forum--but you gardeners seem so cool.
I am a Vermont backyard flower gardener. It is my hobby and addiction. Hey, I am not complaining about all the time it takes to maintain a 14,000 SQ FT flower garden. Like you, I am happiest with my hands in the dirt. However, last December I got a computer at home—now I am a cyber gardener too!
By February 2001, I launched my gardening web site. I guess I don’t know how to do things in moderation. Needless to say, I don’t sleep as much as I should.
Somehow I feel the rest of you can relate to that. Anyway, at least you will know why it may take me forever to respond to your post!
If you too have a flower garden web site, I invite you to list it in my web site’s guest book. That way not only I can visit but also many other gardeners from around the world.
I take it you can find out more background information about me from the members page. If not go to Google and type in “Impressionist Garden”.
Ok a warm hello to you all from me.
Jerry Gryniewicz
I'm new, hello

Welcome Jerry. What do you grow mostly......perennials, annuals, shrubs, veggies??????? The gardeners here are wonderful and treat you like family (better than family sometimes), will share information and plants willingly and support and pray for you when needed. Did I mention that it's habit forming too? Many times I come here before I check my mail.
Welcome to Dave's Garden,Jerry.Glad that you have come to join the rest of us happy gardeners.
CoCo from Texas
A big Kentucky welcome Jerry. You will love it here.
Welcome from Canada Jerry!
WELCOME JERRY! I'LL HAVE TO VISIT YOUR SITE DG IS A GREAT PLACE YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE!
I am overwhelmed by your kindness and feeling of family that I now know how I ended up here. There can’t be any other explanation other than it was just meant to be. Gardeners of true hearts just end up finding each other I guess. I thank you for the warm welcome.
Baa from the UK how do you pronounce that—e-mail me if it is a secret! Melissa from Michigan, Your web page is cool and I thought the Gator was too! Time to add page two to your site. Go Vols; I too think “Tom Clothier’s” web site is packed with gardening information. Brugie baby from Iowa, cool name, now go make a web page so that I/we can visit your beautiful flower garden! Redrose from Louisiana, I thank you for your kind words—looking forward to seeing some garden pictures from you too. Dori, Notmartha from Michigan has 54 wonderful garden pictures. Hubcap Birdbath, what’s up with that? LOL! I think it is creative. I love your Hibiscus. I have 4 plants that will be 3 years old this next season—I hear that is the magic number for years where the plants say ok now I demand that you stop traffic. So Dorie you might have seen me before as I answer gardening questions when time permits, and is a subject I can help with, at Rebecca’s Garden. Notgeorge says your site rocks! Calaliy and Coco from zone 7, I thank you for welcoming me. Would like to see your gardens also. Go to Yahoo’s Geocities and start your garden web site. That is what I did and didn’t know what I was doing at the time. Easy to learn I must say! Sis, that goes for you too!
I thank you all for making me feel like family. I guess as gardeners we are all quite connected anyway. I promise to make a huge effort to not let too much time pass between posts.
Happy gardening,
Jerry Gryniewicz
Another Kentucky gal saying hi!
Best place on the web.Cruise around and see all we've got to offer. I'm into veggies,so you'll see me mostly in the heirloom and tomato forums. Welcome.
This is defiantly a great gardening forum. Your open arms have convinced me that this might just be one of the best gardening forums on the web today.
Mystic from Kentucky, Gwydion from Ontario, Morning Glory from Pennsylvania and Melody from Kentucky, you have added a big smile in my day. Thank you too for the warm welcome.
Jerry Gryniewicz
And another Hello from the UK. Liked your website! I'm studying computer science and I'll be moving onto websites next year!
Welcome Home Jerry, So glad to have you join us. I guess you know you guys are greatlly out numbered. Whew! I sure hope you are a guy otherwise I have put my foot in it.
Havn't been around as long as some of those who have welcomed you, but I'll add my hello how are you also. This site has been more help than any book I can find. Have a problem? Go here, and everyone is glad to help, or trade.........even if you have nothing to trade at the moment.
Just visited your web site and Monet would be proud of you. Great color!!
Hi, Jerry, and welcome to the garden. I feel I must clear up a common misconception. Although it was Dave's intention to build a garden site, and he did that so well in a short time, this is really Dave's Garden, and a lot goes on here that seems almost as important as the gardening. As mentioned already, you can bring your troubles and everyone will help you sort them out and pray over them if you wish, you can bring your triumphs and we will all cheer you on. If you have a new baby or buy a new house or your puter breaks, whatever is going on in your life, this is the family room where everyone shows up in time to share both good and bad. So make yourself at home and join right in. Oh, if you're as friendly as you sound, you will want to send your snail mail addy to Flowox, she is making a list for distribution so we can surprise each other during the year. I'll be checking out your site as it sounds like it will be neat. See you around the garden.
Busybe, Yes you are correct. I am a guy gardener so your foot is safe and I have no problem being out numbered. Thank you God! Hey I didn't mean anything by that. Louisana, my wife of 14 years is still my best friend. Except for those nights when I have my 1000-watt lights in the garden, and she says, "Jerry it is 2 AM what are you doing?” “Don't you think those lights will bother the neighbors?” Hey I am addicted and not perfect. Out numbered is a blessing as gardening's inner feelings are hard to come by.
I am not afraid.
Jerry Gryniewicz
I think you are going to fit in quite nicely here Jerry. The men are a bit outnumbered so it's great to have more male company. Welcome from a displaced English lady living in gorgeous Charlottesville, VA. Some here may dispute the 'lady' I'm sure...lol!!
Hi Jerry, Welcome to Dave'Garden. You'll love this site.
Tricia( minischnuz)
Aimee of Georgetown Texas, Wasssssssssssssupppppppppppp! I thank you for letting me know that this gardening family is so strong that in a time of need the members are there for support. This is a club that goes beond "How many plants did you plant this past spring?" Talk about being at the right place at the right time! How did I end up finding this place? Hey do you believe in Carma? Look there has to be some kind of reason to have hook up with such a cool crowd.
Agapanthus of North Carolina, thank you for you kind comments. I have been made to feel that I am a family member
I thank you all for that
Jerry Gryniewicz
I don't check the forums as often as I should... so a belated "Welcome" to you.

Hey Jerry...so glad you came here. This is my favorite gardening site to go to. It is an addiction for me to come here...just as is my addiction to plants. Glad to see another guy gardener in here. Im sure some of the guys are too. However...Im a lady. HAHA. If I had the money to buy those big lights from Sam's...Id have them outside in the dark working too. LOL. The only problem is sometimes its best not to be out after dark here...the mosquitos have a war on humans on this time. They are unmerciful out here in NE Tx.
No Baby Hosta Sue! Shoe, Dave, John, Mark, Les, Zeb and Gardenhubby hey guys! So I am not alone as I figured--guy thing of course? So guys hey and Wasssssssssssssssssssssssupppppppppppppppppppppppppppp!

Jerry, it looks like you don't need the item I forgot to mention, as you've gotten around quite well already. But we also have an introduction forum, in case you want to use it. Hey, I'm originally from Louisiana and had a relative named that. Interesting your wife has that name.
Welcome to Dave's Garden and merry Christmas. My "profile "will show as being from New York but DW and i spend winters in Florida where currently we have several tomato plants in blossom.
Dave Cokely/kikisdad
Hi Jerry!!! I'm sorry to be so late, it's been a 'visit the new baby' day and I've been away:) So very nice to have you here, and be sure and visit all the forums as you have time. Never know what you'll find in any of them from day to day!
Wonderful to have a new friend:)
Nice to meet you Jerry! I'm sure you will it enjoy it here and welcome!
Good to meet you Jerry. You're gonna love it here.Sending greetings from New Hampshire.

I just don't get no respect. Doing my Rodney Dangerfield impression here. How did I get left off the calendar. Wasn't I the one that started that thread? I've been called Shoe and Mike by two of the members and now no calendar. I tell you no respect. I knew it was going to be that kind of day. Even my sister waited all weekend before calling. No respect I tell you. My grandkids came over and tried to take the peanuts that Carol7 sent me home with them. I tell you no respect. You seen the commercial where the man complains to the waitress about the sandwich that had mayo and she takes it and wipes it off on the table. I went in a resturant and complained about my sandwich not having mayo and the waitress wiped it off the table on to the sandwich. No respect I tell you.
Welcome from West Georgia. I am a man also that loves it here at Dave's. Sorry I haven't chimed in before but have been waiting on a call from Doctor's office concerning my wife Thursday and Friday and waiting on a call from my sister all weekend and she finally called this evening. I have got to get the cable hook up so it won't tie up the phone. A lot of nice people here and I do like to have fun.
I hope you can tell.
Jim, keep us posted about your wife! You didn't say if it was a good or bad call, so here's hoping everything is hunky-dory. Season's best to you both.
welcome jerry.......nice to have you here :o)
thought I'd let you know that we have an address exchange going on, just for us to send little whatnots to each other when we feel like it :o)
If you would like to join, just e-mail me your snail mail address and birthday, just month and day is fine :o)
Susan
Jerry, welcome from North Dakota! You're gonna love it here. It's like home.
Joan
