Does anyone have experience with Angel's Trumpet branches bending this way?

Probably the way the cuttings were stored. When the new growth started it bent towards a light source. Brugmansia growers in cold climates will overwinter cuttings in basement or garages.

I agree with MaypopLaurel
I have other plants that have done the same for the same reason. All plants will bend towards the light source.
