Could anyone suggest a way to root a trimming from my wild picked spruce christmas tree. These trimmings have been
sitting in the snow for a month, but because they were frozen - mostly - i thought perhaps i could still root them. Alternatively i could take a trimming from the tree which has been in the house for 2 - 3 weeks. I have a piece of willow i could boil or soak to get the rooting hormone , or honey, or stimrooy powder - but I don't think it (powder) is for hardwood cuttings.
Advice or any other technique you could reccomend besides just water and rooting agent, i'd like to learn how to do this.
Rooting Christmas Tree Cutting
Some conifers are easy to root while others are next to impossible. I would suggest air layering if in doubt. Grafting is another method but I have never tried this method.
