Hello, new member here but not new to propagation, mostly conifers.
The last couple of years, I've rooted Tsuga canadensis, Thuja occidentalis, Juniperus virginiana and two different strains of Taxus.
I do this as a hobby for my own interest and have taken cuttings from plants growing in my yard. This season, I'm running out of things I can root and don't need anymore of what I have.
I am interested in trying Taxus canadensis cuttings.
I don't have anything to trade at the moment but have some potted seedlings outside in a cold frame awaiting spring time (see picture).
I would gladly pay for T.c. cuttings or send a trade later this spring.
There's one Thuja o. seedling (species), two Tsuga canadensis seedlings (species), one picea mariana seedling (species) and several Taxus I rooted last winter. All potted and hardened off before winter.
fwiw: I tried to contact ptkexpres for a Taxus c. cuttings she had listed but no answer and wonder if she is still around.
Just let me know and we'll see if we can work something out.
TIA
Bill
Taxus canadensis cuttings for rooting.
I might as well close this request/offer.
There are cuttings coming to me as soon as the arctic weather subsides. And if those fall through, I know where I can get potted plants in the spring.
Thanks all for looking (and D-mailing). :-)
