Looking for help identifying this fly(?). It was seen near Whistler, BC at around 2000 ft elevation. Thank you in advance for any help!

It's in the family Syrphidae (flower/hover flies). Might be an Eristalis sp. See https://pbase.com/terrythormin/image/127890982 for an example.
