I’m hoping for some help IDing these bugs. My husband and I have never seen them in our garden before this year, but they are decimating our eggplant leaves (possibly cucumber leaves too, but haven’t spotted them). They look like some type of larvae and appear to be kind of slimy. They seem to congregate in clusters and go to town eating the leaves. If someone knows what they are, we’d also love to know if there’s anything to do to get rid of them. Thanks in advance for your help!

CLOSED: What are these bugs?
These are larvae of the false potato beetle, Leptinotarsa juncta. see http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/veg/leaf/potato_beetles.htm for a comparison with the Colorado potato beetle.
Thank you! I saw some people saying they’ve used neem oil on them. Has anyone had success with this or have any other tricks that have worked?
I've had good success using a BTI formulation on Colorado potato beetle larvae.
