CLOSED: Need help to ID Texas grasshoppers
I believe that the green grasshopper is a nymph of one of the bird grasshoppers in the genus Schistocerca - see https://www.123rf.com/photo_21922939_this-is-a-bright-green-grasshopper-nymph-sitting-on-a-lichen-covered-branch.html for an example.Their coloration can be highly variable, dependent at least in part on their population density.
The adult grasshopper in the second image appears to be one of the banded-wing grasshoppers in the subfamily Oedipodinae. Hippiscus ocelote may be a possibility - see http://www.americaninsects.net/o/hippiscus-ocelote.html
