I planted these Mexican Sunflowers but I dont see anything even close to a bud or a stem or anything. How long until I get a flower? Thank you.

When they are ready, you will or should have lots of flowers. The two pictures are from September, 2017 when a volunteer showed up. I am growing them again this year and they have put out lots of blooms in July and I had to give them some water yesterday since it is hot and dry here.
