This little guy/gal was just crawling around. It's kinda flat. I don't think it flys. I'm in California. I've never seen this bug before. If you know what it is, please let me know.
Thank you!
CLOSED: Hi, I need help identifying this bug...(Thank You!)
It's a nymph of a stink bug (family Pentatomidae); likely one in the genus Nezara - see http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/veg/bean/southern_green_stink_bug.htm
wow! YES...that's it! I looked at the pic you linked to and it's exactly it in the Fifth instar nymph of the southern green stink bug, Nezara viridula (Linnaeus).
THANK YOU!!!!! : )
You are very knowledgeable!!! I wouldn't have ever figured that out. Thanks!
First I just looked at the first pic on the page and in my ignorance I thought ...NO ...that's not it. Then I kept scrolling down and saw the BIG differences as they were hatched and started to age. It's the last picture that is exactly like the one I saw. YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOOO RIGHT!!! : )
You can "drop the mic" flapdoodle! lol
thanks.
