Shrub help...

Fort Lee, NJ

I am looking for a shrub to put in an area of my yard that has sun/shade. Not quite sure what to plant and when to plant it can be a flowering plant or not ,height does not matter width about 6 ft .Any ideas?

Scott County, KY(Zone 5b)

In a word: Viburnum.

'Conoy' is a small leaved evergreen selection that is a compact grower.

'Eskimo' is another evergreen with slightly larger leaves, but still quite compact and heavy bloomer.

'Cayuga' is deciduous, but on a very compact habit it fits innumerable spicily fragrant flowers.

There are plenty more to peruse.

Thank you.. ViburnumValley

Will Sunshine Ligustrum, Evergreen Shrub grow in part sun and shade if so when can I plant?

Scott County, KY(Zone 5b)

I do not know that particular selection. Could you post some information about it?

Ligustrum sp. - the Privet clan - are generally rather tenacious plants. They are also known to be widely invasive across eastern North America - at least certain species are.

That is why I'd want to know which Privet species that 'Sunshine' belongs to.
