Looks like some Kind of beetle to me. Very colorful. I found him wandering around my dwarf crinum, all by his lonesome. Recognize?

It's a tiger beetle (Coleoptera: Carabidae; subfamily Cicindelinae) in the genus Tetracha, likely Tetracha carolina - https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/232391-Tetracha-carolina
Tiger beetles until fairly recently had been placed in their own family, Cicindelidae.

a ferocious and stealthy predator, which is why they are called tiger beetles. They ambush and consume a wide variety of small of arthropods including ants, beetles, caterpillars, flies, grasshopper nymphs, insects, spiders and even small terrestrial crustaceans.
They are thus considered beneficial insects.
That's a tiger beetle indeed, I haven't seen those for ages.
