I’ve noticed this bug on a wooden bench in my garden. I’ve noticed two a few days ago and now this one today. It’s really small, it’s got a red section at the back of it, looks a bit like a bed bug but it’s not all red.

This appears to be a young nymph of a plant bug of some kind; really cannot see details that would permit a more precise identification.

I doubt that this is a bed bug. (1) It would be extremely unusual to see one out in the open where this specimen was found. (2) The thorax does not appear typical for a bed bug - compare with the image at https://stopzbugs.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/bed-bug-closeup.jpg
