I know that there are thousands of beetles/bugs but I'm hoping someone will recognise this. It was tiny, only about 1cm long and there were lots of them, all on thistle flowers. Seen in Dorset today.

It's another plant bug in the family Miridae; it looks like Closterotomus norwegicus, known as the potato capsid - https://www.naturespot.org.uk/species/potato-capsid
In spite of that name, they appear to be commonly seen on thistle.
