Family heirloom begonia identification requested

Russell, Canada

Hello, we have a begonia that has been in the family for generations. Could you help identify it?We would like to tell our children the name as we propogate it for them.
Thank you.

It looks like a rhizomatous begonia.

Luckily begonias are so easy to propagate in many ways.
Even 1 leaf can make a lot of babies.

It looks similar to this one. https://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/295131/

We have a begonia expert on DG so hopefully he will come by and know which it is for sure.

So cool to have plant you have passed down in your family.

Thank you for your reply.

We know it is a rhizomatous begonia, we were wondering the type. Ours has white flowers unlike many with pink flowers.

The kids are happy to be getting a part of the plant for sure. I'm glad I can easily propagate more if needed, especially if something goes wrong with the one I give them. :)
