Good Evening,
I usually have no problems with Zinnias. This year some of my zinnias are fine, while others look like this? Can anyone identify what the problem may be?
Problem with Zinnias
Hello DT712,
" Can anyone identify what the problem may be? "
Basically, the problem is that black stuff you have heaped up around the zinnia in that first picture, and that covers the ground in the second picture. Compost is loaded with fungal and microbial decay organisms, including potentially many plant diseases, and using it in the garden is tricky. I answered your post in more detail in the Annuals forum of the National Gardening Association.
