Anyone know what is wrong with these boxwoods? Is it boxwood blight?

I'm not sure but mine had an issue that looked like parts of them were dying. When I would read about problems like that they seemed all seemed pretty bleek. I figured what the heck... and just cut big chunks from them. For two years they were mis shapen and odd but now they are fine and doing well!
