We have large plots in a community garden, so we ordered lots of plants for them. Alas, the garden has been closed temporarily due to Covid. The onions, potatoes, and leeks have now filled the smaller garden at home. 20 new asparagus plants arrived today. Any advice on how to take care of them while we wait to get into the larger plots? Crisper drawer? Pot into containers? Some sort of "heeling in"? I am a very experienced gardener facing a situation about which I know absolutely nothing. Any ideas? (The sweet potatoes will be coming before too long.)
