Hello, i found this caterpillar on my pants after coming back from a forest in France. Can you help me identifying it? I'm curious about it.
Here is a picture of the caterpillar, with a scale but it's in centimetres though. I believe its head is on the right side. Thank you for your help!
This resembles an eggar moth caterpillar (family Lasiocampidae), but it could well be a noctuid instead. The distinguishing characters cannot be seen in this image. And BTW, its head is to the left.
