It is indeed a stick insect; it might be in the genus Perliodes or a close relative - see http://v3.boldsystems.org/index.php/Taxbrowser_Taxonpage?taxid=479915 for an example. My apologies for the delay in responding to this one; somehow, I completely overlooked it when you posted it.
