Pests on plumeria seedlings 😡

West Palm Beach, FL

Hi! I’m in zone 10 WPB, FL and have a bunch of plumerias. Decided to net a seed pod & plant seeds. What I’ll do with 40 plants, who knows....... but anyway they are about 4-5 weeks & outgrowing smaller pots. I was up potting them when I noticed a few white flies & I believe rust on leaves! What can I treat them with since they are so young? I don’t want them to get out of control! I’m always checking my other plants for pests as down here white flies/pests/fungus are......well nothing short of HELL to deal with! It’s a full time job I’m sure many will agree! I need help & advice ASAP, PLEASE! Thanking you in advance,
Maxine

I have no personal experience with this but evidently plumeria rust is very common and you must react quickly. If it is on just a few of your seedlings, I would remove them completely and discard in plastic bag. Clean hands before you touch your other plants.

Then I would spray the others with Neem or 1 of the other solutions mentioned in the articles below prophylacticly. I have used Neem a lot but never on seedlings so I do not know how they will react though if you get rust on all of them and they defoliate, I doubt seedlings can survive long anyway.

There are many articles on plumeria rust.

Whitefly is another curse of plumerias.
