Hercules aloe tree leaf tips dying

Hi,

The leaf tips are dying on my hercules aloe tree. It's located in Gilbert, AZ 85298. It's in full sun, is approximately 5 years old, and is growing at a rate of 1'/year. This problem affects the lower branches more than the upper branches. Does anyone know the cause?
