Got a big wide leaf that needs repotting, would REALLY like to get babies but it hasn't cooperated in that wise, like to get wisdom on both.
Aloe babies, repotting
Hi. I am unsure what you mean when you say you have a big wide leaf that needs repotting. Do you want to repot your whole plant?
Is your aloe an Aloe vera? Some aloes do not pup. Aloe vera plants will pup a lot but need to be mature. They like to be a bit crowded in pot to pup so I would not repot yours until the root ball has totally filled your pot.
I would fertilize it every few weeks and if old enough it should start to pup. I fertilize all my cactus and succulents with quarter strength cactus fertilizer every watering and they all grow large and fat.
Hope this helps.
Thanx Kell, not getting email notifications for replies??
It's Aloe, I see I failed to say in question.
Also see the picture wont enlarge properly, don't know how to fix so's they will. Dave's setup doesn't work well for my setup.
Haven't uprooted it so don't know about root crowding. It's just way to tall for pot it's in, has leaned way over. Has "shed" bottom leaves MANY times making for a long neck between soil and leaves.
Have never fertilized it. With Aloe being desert plant I didn't figger it needed.
