I have a sick 3 year old mango tree that i have planted in my yard and it is in a mostly sunny position which gets afternoon sea breezes as i live about a kilometre from the coast. The soil type here is mostly sandy although i did apply a premixed garden soil mix to the sand for my plants. Other plants are thriving but my mango tree is not happy. The first year it was growing very well and then the leave ends started to turn brown. I read it was because i didnt water enough so i increased watering times. I apply a slow release citris/fruit tree fertilizer approx every 3 months. Im thinking about digging it up and putting it in a pot as a neighbour said mango trees dont like the wind and we do get afternoon sea breezes. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Need help with sick mango tree
